Yes, the scholarship covers 100% of the university tuition fees for the entire duration of an approved undergraduate degree. However, all other costs like electronic devices, internet access, textbooks, and living expenses are the responsibility of the winner.

To nominate someone, you must hold an active personal Savings or Current account with Sterling Bank. Employees of Sterling Bank or Miva Open University, and their immediate families, are not eligible to nominate.
No, the person being nominated does not need a Sterling account. Only the person submitting the nomination (the Nominator) needs to be a Sterling Bank account holder.
Yes, you can nominate yourself as long as you meet the eligibility criteria for a Nominee and use a valid Sterling Bank account to submit the nomination.
All nominations must be submitted through the official website, sterling.ng/future, during the Nomination Period. The Nominator will need to complete the form, provide their valid Sterling Bank account number for verification, and confirm they have the Nominee’s consent.
The nomination period begins at 00:00 WAT on June 12, 2025.
Winners are selected through a public voting process exclusive to Sterling Bank account holders. After the nomination period, verified nominees will be listed on our website under their state of residence. At the end of the voting period, the two Nominees with the highest number of verified votes in each state and the FCT will be declared the provisional winners for that tranche.
During the Voting Period, anyone with a Sterling account number can vote for their preferred Nominees. Each Sterling account holder may cast one (1) vote per Nominee per twenty-four (24)-hour period; any additional votes within the same window will be discarded. The bank uses several anti-fraud measures to ensure the integrity of the vote.
In the event of a tie for a final winning spot in any state, the nominee who was nominated earlier will be given higher priority.
Provisional winners will be contacted by the bank and must formally accept the award within ten (10) business days. After acceptance and final verification, winners must successfully enrol at Miva Open University within two admission cycles to avoid forfeiture of the scholarship.
Yes. Winners must maintain good academic standing and abide by all of Miva Open University’s regulations. The scholarship can be revoked for poor academic performance or misconduct.
