Mr. Jaiyeola is a seasoned board leader, financial strategist, and policy advocate with over 35 years of experience spanning financial services, corporate governance and public policy in Nigeria.
He is the Founder and Pro-Chancellor of Hillside University of Science and Technology (HUST). He previously served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kakawa Discount House Limited (now Quest Merchant Bank), where he contributed to the development and stability of Nigeria’s financial markets.
Mr. Jaiyeola has held several prominent leadership and board positions, including President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Member of the Board of Trustees of the Financial Markets Dealers Association (FMDA), Past President Money Market Association of Nigeria (now FMDA), Past President Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG). He has also served on the boards and advisory bodies of organisations including the UN Global Compact Network Nigeria, the Nigeria Improving Business Environment for Prosperity (NIBEP), He currently sits on the Board of FMDQ Group Plc, the NESG Advisory Board and the Policy Innovation Centre.
He holds a B.Sc. in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, a Masters in Banking and Finance from the University of Lagos, and an MBA from Bangor University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Directors, as well as a Chartered Member of the Chartered Banker Institute, Scotland. He is also a Senior Executive Fellow of the Harvard Kennedy School.
