Sheila Ojei is an executive leader with expertise in impact communications, partnership development, and digital transformation. Most recently, she served as Country Manager for the African Management Institute (AMI), Nigeria, where she established AMI’s footprint and led strategic workforce development initiatives.
Her career spans leadership roles in both public and private sectors, including serving as Director of Strategy, Partnerships, and Stakeholder Management at the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), where she fostered partnerships to support small businesses and employment growth.
At Jobberman Nigeria, she led strategic communications efforts and played a key role in the Young Africa Works partnership with the MasterCard Foundation, aimed at advancing youth employment in Nigeria.
Beyond her corporate impact, Sheila is a creative entrepreneur and storyteller passionate about amplifying African narratives. Through Sheila Charles Ltd, she produces and funds creative projects in theater and film, with acclaimed productions such as Single in Gidi and Still Single in Gidi. She also serves on the boards of United Way Greater Nigeria and the BusinessDay Foundation and is dedicated to mentoring young adults, particularly children of ministry, in purpose discovery. Sheila holds an MBA from Trinity College Dublin, an MA from Regents University UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from St. John’s University, USA.

She has personally spoken to over 51,000 young people across 19 countries, sharing the transformative power of education. At COP23 in Bonn, she made a compelling case for the connection between climate change and education, further solidifying her role as a thought leader in global development.
