I am applying for the Sterling Bank Scholarship to fund my university education and open new doors for my future. My passion for nursing was born from a deeply personal experience. During my appendix surgery, my mother and aunt took turns caring for me. As we spent time together, the three of us bonded deeply. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in nursing — a profession centered around compassion, care, and human connection.

During the three years, I was out of school, facing so many challenges of child marriage at 16 years, old due to my parents being financially unstable, to assist me in furthering my education. I chose not to remain idle, so I enrolled in UTOPIAN CARE SERVICES, where I practiced caregiving. I visited patients daily, administered their medications, checked their vital signs, and most importantly, offered companionship and comfort. Through this hands-on experience, I fell even more in love with the field. I witnessed the dedication of healthcare workers and the difference they make in patients’ lives. It strengthened my resolve to be part of that mission.

This scholarship will make it possible for me to continue my education in the healthcare sector and transform my dream of becoming a nurse into reality. I am fully prepared to take the next step on my educational journey, and I am eager to dedicate my life to helping others heal — bringing both comfort and fighting spirit to every patient I encounter.
