Pitch Summary

I’m passionate about using software engineering to solve real-world problems. I taught myself to code and built tech tools to support small businesses and farmers. This scholarship will help me deepen my skills, build scalable solutions, and inspire others from underserved communities. I’m not just seeking a degree—I’m building a future through technology.
I’m passionate about using technology to solve real problems in underserved communities. Despite limited resources, I taught myself digital skills and co-founded a tech-driven platform for farmers. This scholarship will empower me to gain deeper knowledge, scale my impact, and inspire others. I’m not just seeking a degree—I’m pursuing purpose through technology.

I am nominating myself for the Miva Open University Scholarship because I believe that technology is the most powerful tool we have to solve the pressing challenges of our time—and I am determined to be a part of that solution. This scholarship represents a life-changing opportunity for me to deepen my knowledge, expand my capacity, and use technology to make meaningful impact in my community and beyond.
My journey into the world of technology began not in a fully equipped lab, but in a modest setting with limited resources. Yet even with those limitations, I was captivated by the way technology could connect people, improve lives, and create opportunities. I taught myself the basics of computer literacy, coding, and digital tools through free online platforms and community programs. With every challenge I overcame, my commitment to using tech for social good grew stronger.
Over the years, I have been involved in various tech-based projects, from building small business websites for local entrepreneurs to volunteering in digital literacy programs for underserved youth. Most recently, I co-founded a grassroots initiative that uses mobile technology to help farmers access real-time market prices and weather updates, improving both their income and resilience to climate change.
Despite these achievements, I know that my potential is far from fulfilled. I need a strong academic foundation, mentorship, and access to cutting-edge learning tools—opportunities that Miva Open University can provide. Studying technology at Miva will empower me to transform ideas into scalable solutions, bridge the digital divide, and create inclusive systems that work for everyone.
This scholarship is not just about funding a degree—it is about investing in someone who is committed to using technology for impact. I see it as a launchpad to becoming a tech innovator, problem solver, and role model for others who come from humble beginnings but dream of changing the world.
I believe I deserve this scholarship because I am not just pursuing knowledge—I am pursuing purpose. And I am ready to use every lesson, every opportunity, and every tool to build a better, more connected future for all.
