That moment shaped much of my teenage years and the years that followed. His passing came just before I graduated secondary school in 2015, and with it came the financial strain that altered the course of everything I knew. Life after that was filled with quiet struggles, but also with the resolve to keep moving forward.

By the age of seventeen, I began freelancing. What started with crafting interview questions and research eventually grew into hands on work in business development. I found myself helping businesses understand what was broken and coming up with real, personalized solutions. It was in these moments that I saw clearly entrepreneurship is more than owning a business. It is about problem solving, about impact, about building something that creates opportunities for others.

When I discovered Miva University, it felt like the door I had been waiting to walk through. Their approach to education flexible, accessible, and forward-thinking spoke directly to my circumstances and dreams. Being able to learn from wherever I am and still receive quality education makes the possibility of finally earning a degree real for me. The BSc in Entrepreneurship is not just a program I’m interested in, it’s a continuation of the work I’ve already started. I have the experience. I have the hunger. I just need the opportunity.

Education has always been important to me. Even when I couldn’t afford a formal degree, I never stopped learning. I’ve taken online courses, physical computer classes, and self taught my way through business development, coaching, and content creation. Learning is how I grow, and it’s also how I serve. I want to build businesses that hire youth, that give them a creative space to work, learn, and grow. I want to create safe environments where innovation thrives and people feel seen and empowered.

Still, I face financial challenges. After years of trying to support myself and my siblings, I do not currently have the funds to afford my tuition. Without this scholarship, I may not be able to begin or continue this journey. That is why this opportunity is so crucial for me.

I am a natural creative. I am empathetic, resilient, and deeply committed to using what I know to make life better for others. I do not give up easily. Even when the road is unclear, I find ways to move forward. I believe in fixing what is broken and in creating what does not yet exist. I believe in the power of education to multiply impact.

[21
post-5107","nominees","type-nominees","status-publish","hentry","cohorts-cohort-2
["GET
