These projects serve thousands of users and handle sensitive data, exposing me daily to security challenges like API vulnerabilities, data breaches, and real-time threats via WebSockets\u00e2\u20ac\u201dissues that a formal cybersecurity education will empower me to address proactively. My IoT work, including ESP32-based smart lighting with Edge AI\/TinyML for voice controls using Arduino and Flutter apps, has deepened my understanding of embedded security risks, such as hardware exploits and network intrusions, making cybersecurity a natural evolution to protect these systems at scale.\u00e2\u20ac\u2039 This scholarship is pivotal as a self-funded developer from Port Harcourt transitioning to formal undergraduate studies in cybersecurity; it removes financial barriers, allowing me to focus on mastering ethical hacking, threat intelligence, forensics, and compliance standards like those for Nigerian fintech regulations.
