Why I’m Nominating Myself for the Scholarship
I’m putting myself forward for the Sterling Bank-sponsored scholarship in Mass Communication and Media Studies at Miva Open University because I’ve always been fascinated by the power of stories to connect people and spark change. Whether it’s through writing, video, or social media, I love the idea of using communication to share ideas, shine a light on important issues, and bring communities together. I dream of becoming a journalist or media creator who tells stories that matter—stories that inspire and make a difference. This scholarship would give me the chance to learn the skills I need to make that dream real, from crafting compelling news pieces to mastering digital media tools. I’m ready to work hard, learn everything I can, and use my education to make a positive impact in Nigeria’s media world. I believe this opportunity is the perfect step toward becoming the voice I’ve always wanted to be.
