In 2022, everything changed for me…I had to drop out of the university…not because I wanted to.
But because my dad had a very fatal accident…It shook our entire family to the core and at that time all of us…myself and my siblings…were in school.
Three of my siblings were already writing their final projects and needed money for clearance. My younger sister had just gained admission to LASU too.
There was no money for everyone…so, I had to make a hard choice at that point.
I stepped down so my siblings could finish.
It broke me… because i was so close to the finish line and suddenly, everything went on hold.
It was traumatic…I felt stuck…forgotten and left behind.
But even in the midst of all of that, one thing never changed is my desire to go back and finish.
And since then, I’ve been fighting.
Doing everything I can to get myself back into school…because I understand the power of education…not just for me, but for the people I want to impact.
I know what it means to pause your own dreams for others…I know what it means to start again.
And I know the kind of future I’m building…the one where I can impact lives, uplift communities, and contribute meaningfully to my country and the world.
That’s why I’m nominating myself for this scholarship…because I don’t just want this for me.
I want it so I can become someone others can count on too.
This scholarship would not just change my life.
It would give me the chance to finish what I started and rise, again.
