Pitch Summary

Why I’m Nominating Myself for This Scholarship
I’m applying for this scholarship because I believe in the power of good government to change lives, and I need your help to become a part of that change.

My interest in public policy didn’t start in a classroom. It started in my community. I saw a government program designed to teach young people new skills fail because the planners didn’t talk to the people they were trying to help. The classes were scheduled when we were in school and held too far away for most to get to. It was a good idea on paper, but it failed in practice. That experience stuck with me. It made me want to be the person who helps create policies that actually work for people, not just on a spreadsheet.

That’s why your BSc. in Public Policy and Administration is my perfect next step. I’m excited by the chance to learn not just the theory, but the real, practical skills needed to analyze problems, engage communities, and implement solutions that make a difference.

This scholarship would mean I could fully throw myself into this goal. Instead of worrying about finances and working a side job, I could use that time to dive into my studies, pursue a crucial internship with a local non-profit, and really contribute to campus life.

I’m asking for your investment because I am determined to give back. My goal is to work in the public sector, focusing on making education and social services more effective and fair for everyone. By supporting my education, you’re not just helping me—you’re investing in a future public servant dedicated to building a better, more responsive community for all.
