Some years ago, I completed a degree in Accounting—a course I honestly struggled with. If I could turn back the hands of time, I would have chosen differently. But that experience, as tough as it was, taught me resilience. It also planted a desire in me to one day start afresh and create the future I truly want for myself.

I haven’t allowed my past struggles or mistakes to define me. Today, I am building a fulfilling career in Human Resources. I currently work as a HR/Admin Assistant and I’ve earned my CIPM certification. I am constantly seeking out ways to grow, improve, and invest in myself because I believe growth is a lifelong journey.

As a first-time mom, the flexibility that MIVA Open University offers through this scholarship is something I deeply value. It gives me the opportunity to balance learning, work, and motherhood in a way that’s realistic and sustainable.

Being awarded this scholarship would mean more than just financial support—it would be a second chance. A chance to prove to myself that I can do this, that I can intentionally pursue a new beginning. And more importantly, it would be a powerful example for my son—showing him that it’s never too late to rewrite your story.
