Pitch Summary

Pursuing a career in data science has been a long-standing dream of mine. I am deeply passionate about using data to solve real-world problems and make informed decisions that can impact businesses, communities, and lives. I once took the bold step of enrolling in a data science program at a recognized institution(AltSchool Africa) , but unfortunately, due to financial hardship,( I couldn’t even pay half of the school fee) I was unable to complete it. I wasn’t issued a certificate, and it was a painful moment for me—one that constantly reminds me of how close I came to achieving a major milestone in my journey.

I was brought up by mom only, i have a twin brother and two younger sisters , my dad has left us for years i cant even remember the year, i support my mom in whatever way i can, seeing my mom ageing without being able to repay all the sacrifice she has made, going to bed without eating just to make sure we are okay, this brings tears and sadness to me especially in this NIGERIA, raising four kids in Nigeria isn’t funny at all, my wish is to make my mum(iya ibeji) proud, to see her shed tears of joy after years of sacrifice , hard work. it my and my twin brother responsibility to take care of my younger sisters.

Despite this setback, I have not given up. I continue to learn on my own—through free resources, videos, articles, and online communities—whenever I can. But I know that guided, structured learning is what I need to truly grow and make meaningful progress. This scholarship would not just be financial support; it would be a second chance to fulfill a dream that I started but couldn’t finish, a dream that means the world to me

I come from a background where opportunities like this are rare, and when they come, they can change the entire course of someone’s life, a family, a family of single mother. I am hardworking, focused, and committed to making the most of this opportunity. If selected, I won’t take it for granted. I want to grow, not just for myself, but so I can give back—by teaching others, solving problems with data, and helping build a better world through technology.

Thank you for considering my application, please i would love to hear a positive feedback from you .
