Pitch Summary

I am writing to nominate myself for the Sterling Bank SBES scholarship to pursue a BSc in Accounting. As a proud son of Ekiti State, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges of limited educational resources and the transformative power of financial literacy. My academic record reflects consistent excellence, maintaining a first‑class GPA throughout secondary school, and I have been actively involved in community service, leading a youth finance club that taught basic bookkeeping to over 300 peers. The scholarship would enable me to acquire professional accounting skills, which I intend to bring back to my community by offering free tax‑preparation workshops and mentoring aspiring students. I am disciplined, resilient, and accustomed to balancing rigorous studies with extracurricular responsibilities, as demonstrated by my role as head prefect and captain of the school debating team. I believe my commitment to academic achievement, leadership, and community development aligns with Sterling Bank’s vision of empowering young Nigerians. Receiving this award would not only support my education but also amplify my impact on Ekiti and beyond. I have completed internship with audit firm, where I assisted in preparing statements and learned QuickBooks and Excel, equipping me with skills that will enhance my performance and contributions to sector.
